The Allerdale Court Hotel is situated in the newly redesigned Market Place in Cockermouth, gateway to the Western English Lakes, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The hotel is just a few minutes drive from some of Lakelands hidden treasures. With 25 well appointed bedrooms and one restaurant, the hotel offers an excellent range of food.

Allerdale Court is a family run hotel offering the best of the traditional and modern, where your comfort and enjoyment are always our no.1 priority.

Dining: carlin's bar & bistro opened with a splash on the 24th April 2010. The contemporary styled bar and bistro takes the place of Oscars following extensive refurbishments of the Allerdale Court Hotel after the floods of November 2009.

carlin's is named after John Carlin, who sadly died in January 2010 of a heart attack. His wife Kay, together with sons Jake and Charlie, vowed to reopen and make John's vision a reality, working night and day to make it happen. They are the first Hotel to reopen since the floods.

The new carlin's bar & bistro has a relaxed, informal atmosphere. carlin's is a busy and fashionable venue where you'll find a mouth-watering choice of grills and steaks, pasta dishes, pizzas, fish and specialities - ideal for a memorable night out.

Accommodation: Our 25 beautifully furnished bedrooms provide high standards of comfort to families, couples and singles. All have en-suite bathrooms, with tea and coffee making facilities, a writing desk, colour TV, radio, telephone and iron.

Perfect for the holidaymaker and business traveller alike, the hotel is a few minutes easy stroll from the town centre and the birthplace of William Wordsworth, and just a short drive from the heart of the English Lake District.

The West coast of Cumbria is a few miles from Cockermouth, well worth exploring from Silloth in the North to Muncaster Castle in the South. The hotel is also a favourite for golfers, being close to five good courses.

From the East: Scotch Corner A66 to Cockermouth

From the South: M6 to J40 (Penrith) then A66 to Cockermouth

From the North: Either from Carlisle on A595, or on M6 to J40 (Penrith) then A66.

Scenic South (Slower Route) From M6 to J36 (Kendal) then A591 to Keswick then A66 to Cockermouth.

In Cockermouth, drive to end of Main Street, over the bridge and turn first right. The Allerdale Court is immediately on the left hand side in Market Place.
