The most famous mutineer in history, Fletcher Christian, after seeing his crewmates slain by Tahitian natives was said to have escaped on a ship with one Captain Folger and returned to Cockermouth. Rumour has it that he may have returned to the house that is now the Allerdale Court Hotel.

Now family owned and run, we pride ourselves on the warm hospitality, good food and the constant attention to detail that are the hallmarks of the Allerdale Courts friendly and dedicated staff.

Dining at The Allerdale Court is an important part of any guest's stay and it is not by chance that our bistro has earned a fine reputation both locally and nationally. carlin's offer superb freshly cooked food, and plenty of it, served with smiling experience to your table.

We offer exellent service with an extensive and imaginative menu to suit all tastes, including local specialities such as Lakeland pheasant and Cumbrian Fell-bred beef, all served in our continental style bistro with an informal atmosphere. With its contemporary theme, carlin's is a busy and fashionable venue where you'll find a mouth-watering choice of grills, steaks, pasta dishes, pizzas, fish and specialities - ideal for a memorable night out.
