prominently on The Common, directly opposite the church, at the quiet end of
this delightful village, which is internationally famous as 'Aidensfield' in the
popular TV series 'Heartbeat'.
The Hotel takes its name from a 70 foot high waterfall which
flows into a wooded valley, a short walk from the hotel.

and attention to detail both in the Restaurant and Bar area. The Hotel has 3
spacious lounges - one with an open log fire, where teas, coffees, food and
drink are available throughout the day.

suitable for family use. Luxury Rooms and Suites are also available.

Menu and is open daily for breakfast and dinner, and has commanding views of the

serving home-made produce, including sandwiches, snacks and hot dishes.
Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea is available daily.
Behind
the Hotel is an extensive garden and patio area, with breathtaking views of the
Esk Valley - this is open daily for drinks, lunches and dinners.
During the day, you can walk through the heather clad moors and along
tumbling streams, exploring the many historic sites, delightful villages
or enjoy the rugged coastline and resorts of Scarborough and Whitby.
Castle Howard of 'Brideshead' fame is on the way to ancient York which is
less than an hour away. The privately owned North Yorkshire Moors
Railway from Pickering to Grosmont and Whitby passes through the village.
