Country Hotel - Indoor Swimming Pool - Short Breaks - Picturesque village location

The hotel, established from what was at one time the village blacksmiths, two cottages and the shop, has been renovated and extended to make a very comfortable Country Hotel with 12 bedrooms, all with Private Bath, W.C., Central Heating, Tea and Coffee Making facilities, Colour T.V., Direct Dial Telephone, Radio.

All the bedrooms face either south or south-west.  Some overlook the village pond and mill stream, the remainder our courtyard and walled garden.

There is a small oak-beamed bar with log fire, a large drawing room which, together with the dining room, open on to the stone flagged terrace overlooking the mill stream.

Wherever possible we purchase our produce locally. Poultry, game, fish from Whitby and Scarborough, Yorkshire lamb and Helmsley beef. 

Harome is a small village less than three miles from the attractive market town of Helmsley and the North York Moors National Park; it is unspoilt, still retaining six thatched cottages (probably more than in any village in North Yorkshire).  There are seven farms, an Inn and both a Church and Chapel.

Riding and Fishing are all available within easy reach of the Pheasant.

The North Yorks Moors National Park - the finest heather moorland in England surrounds beautiful dales such as Farndale with its wild daffodils.
Helmsley - Fine old market town with castle, church, shops, riding and tennis.
Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Pickering - 18 miles of steam railway running through the National Park.
York - with its magnificent Minster, varied shops ancient walls and museums.
