The Queen Victoria
Inn is situated in the tiny picturesque village of Gayton,
surrounded by the rolling hills of the Northamptonshire countryside,
just to the west of Northampton and the M1. Silverstone, the home of
the British Grand Prix, is approximately 8 miles from the Queen
Victoria Inn and the Roman Town of Towcester with its racecourse is
just 5 miles.
The Queen Victoria, well known
for its excellent food and fine wines (all sold by the glass or bottle), also
offers an extensive range of real ales, keg beers and lagers as well as a wide
choice of teas and coffees. A recent addition is a weekly changing guest ale
from brewers all over the UK.
The
spacious dining area has two wood burning stoves and is decorated with a fine
collection of pictures, jugs, plates and bric-a-brac. With plenty of space
between tables, even when we are full, it's easy to move around.
 
A section of the bar is set
aside for quiet games and a pool table for customers who just want to
unwind and relax with a drink and chat with friends.
A quiet area is arranged with
comfortable sofas to either relax and make your menu choice, enjoy a coffee or
after dinner drink or just read the newspapers.
Our friendly staff will provide
you with menus containing a very wide selection of Lunchtime Snacks, A La Carte,
Daily Specials, Vegetarian, Children's Options, Delicious Desserts and Wines. In
addition to our printed menu we have a Special Steak chalkboard and an
additional choice of Daily Specials.
We have four very comfortable
letting bedrooms, all on the first floor. All are en-suite and equipped with
tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, clock radio and colour television with
Freeview. An iron and ironing board are available on request. As well as access
to the bar during opening hours there is also a separate entrance for use when
we are closed.
Booking is easily arranged over
the phone, via website or e-mail. A small deposit will be required and most major
credit and debit cards are accepted. Special rates apply for long stays, 3-5
nights or weeks.

How to find Us:
From M1 Junction 15A: Follow A43
towards Oxford. Approx. 1 mile uphill turn left for Blisworth, Milton Major,
Gayton. Downhill into village of Blisworth. At first junction turn left then
immediately right. 200m T junction turn left. 1 mile at Gayton church T junction
turn left, then 1st right follow road round to left past Eykyn Arms 50m. Turn
left into Queen Victoria Inn car park.
From A5: Follow A43 towards
Northampton approx 2 miles turn right for Blisworth, Milton Major, Gayton. Then
follow as above.
From Grand Union Canal: At Blisworth and Gayton junction. I mile west uphill towards Gayton village.
