Burnham-on-Crouch is an oyster farming and sea-trading village with many historic buildings along its quayside, including the 17th century Ye Olde White Harte Hotel.
This riverside inn was built in the 1600's and retains much character with many original beams and fireplaces, both in the public rooms and in the bedrooms.
The hotel overlooks the River Crouch and has its own jetty on the quay. While guests can enjoy the hotel's olde worlde atmosphere, they are also free to explore the pleasant riverside walks and experience the
peaceful countryside and picturesque villages of Essex.
The Waterside Restaurant offers lunch and evening table d'hôte meals with full à la carte menus also available.
The eleven en-suite bedrooms all have television and tea/coffee making facilities, whilst eight bedrooms have shared bath/shower and W.C.'s. The hotel also has a pleasant residents lounge with television.
