Featured Yuletide Breaks
Our Haunted Hotels page is taking a well earned break after our most successful Halloween yet! A couple of the inns that list with us, namely the Lord Crewe Arms and the Brocket Arms, were even featured as two of "The Perfect 10: Haunted Hotels" on an online magazine!
Of course, now all of the focus appears to be shifting to Christmas and New Year. As we work directly with hotels and inns, we personally think our offers are the best out there! Here are two of our favourites:

Christmas & New Year Breaks are up!
For those of that enjoy booking your getaways well in advance, you'll be glad to hear that we have just updated both our Christmas Breaks page and our New Year Breaks page.

mmm...cookies...
Although a lot of the offers are still coming through from the hotels and inns themselves, this year we're also working in collaboration with Superbreak to provide you with an even wider range of Christmas and New Year breaks. We'll be updating the deals all the way through to the big day itself, so bookmark us and keep checking back!
On a completely separate note we'd like to say "hello" to our newest member hotel - The Norton Manor Hotel in...well...Norton! Although not strictly in England, it's just a few miles over the border in Wales and it's a stunner! Built in 1858 for the 1st Baronet of Radnorshire, this impressive Victorian manor house is ideal for a weekend break in the country.

Impressive, eh?
Christmas in a Cottage
Imagine this...it's Christmas Eve. You have all of your family - extended and otherwise - around a open fire, with a bowl of mulled wine slowly simmering away on the hob. Outside the hot tub is bubbling away under the open stars and maybe, just maybe, you can hear the bells of the local church ringing out for the Christmas service.

It's just like the English Country Inns office! Honest!
Sounds perfect, eh? Here are English Inns we're not specialists in Cottage Breaks, but even we have to agree that there is no better way to bring in Christmas or New Year. To spark your curiosity, here are some links which you may find rather useful if you're looking to spend Christmas in a cottage!
Thanks to Historic UK for providing these links to us. We'd also love to hear from you if you have any other ideas on unique and charming Christmas breaks in England - please drop us a line in the comments below!
