In five acres of grounds, with no passing traffic, this silver-stone former rectory exudes a special kind of calm.
Pen-y-Dyffryn was chosen as “Country Hotel of the Year” by The Good Hotel Guide, and “Rural Retreat of the Year” by The Which Hotel Guide. Food
Dining in our restaurant, with its huge, south-facing sash windows, is central to the Pen-y-Dyffryn experience. We are open to non-residents and are one of the longest established AA Two Rosette restaurants in Shropshire. (10 years now).
Our guests appreciate good food. Ingredients are healthy, locally sourced, and we tend to the use of organic produce. We even have our own tame deerstalker, and game features regularly on the menu along with more traditional delights. And there is always at least one vegetarian choice at each course. Accommodation
Sleep, uninterrupted sleep “the sleep that knits up the ravell'd sleeve of care” is a priority at Pen-y-Dyffryn. With only wildlife to break the silence, thick stone walls, no passing traffic and posture sprung beds throughout, here are the ingredients for a refreshing nights slumber. We want you to wake revived and refreshed, with a hearty appetite for a healthy Shropshire breakfast, fortified for a full days enjoyment.
Several of the hotel bedrooms have an en-suite Jacuzzi or a spa bath, and the bedrooms in the adjoining Coach House have their own private stone-walled patios if you prefer that extra touch of seclusion.
