The Wilton Court has also been awarded by the AA Highly Commended Five yellow stars, two rosettes and a breakfast award, as well as 5 stars by Visit Wales with a Gold Award since 2008.
Accommodation
All ten en suite bedrooms overlook either the river or the gardens and are complete with modern facilities. The majority of the rooms have either king or super king beds.
Each room is individually decorated and reflects a warmth of character with either William Morris or Sanderson wallpapers and fabrics. Beams and fireplaces dating from the 16th century have been exposed in the original part of the building which was formally the Magistrates Court in the 1500's
Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in all rooms, as is flat screen televsions with DVD and free view.
Dining
The Wilton Court Prides itself on utilising the finest local produce. Seasonally changing a ‘ la carte and weekly changing market menus are served in the Mulberry and Riverview restaurant and bar seven days a week.
In the summer months meals can also be enjoyed in the beautiful courtyard or riverbank.
The Wilton Court has been bestowed many awards for its dining including 2AA rosettes, Restaurant of the Year finalist in the’ Flavours of Herefordshire’ Awards since 2003 , being ‘Winner’ on 2009 and ‘Highly Commended’ in 2010 as well as ‘Silver Winners’ in the ‘Taste of the Heart’ Category in the’ Heart of England Excellence in Tourism ’ Awards 2009 and 2010.
The Area
Nestling on the banks of the River Wye and gazing across to Ross on Wye, the Wilton Court Hotel enjoys the most idyllic location with its own river bank frontage as swans glide past and a wide variety of wildlife - including kingfishers, Peregrine falcons and the occasional otter - may be spotted.
A 15 minute walk across the picturesque bridge will lead you into the town, distinguished by its 16th century market place and Tudor timbered houses clustered around the striking 17th century market hall (where twice weekly markets are still held).
