The Huntsman of Brockenhurst

The Hunstman of Brockenhurst, formerly the Rose & Crown, is a superb example of a traditional forest inn, dating back to the 13th century.

Welcome to the Hunstman at Brockenhurst in the beautiful New Forest. This historic inn has been welcoming guests for centuries. Today the inn offers 14 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, some of which are situated in the converted stable block.

Dining at the Huntsman is a pleasure. We are proud to support the New Forest marque and our dishes are prepared from local produce wherever possible. Dishes include our homemade New Forest Steak and Ringwood Ale Pie, Venison and Wild Berry Hot Pot and many more. We are also famous for our carvery! Guests can choose to eat and drink in either the cosy bar area or the restaurant, or if the weather is kind, outside in our attractive cottage garden and patio area.

The Hunstman also offers a function room with a private bar and an old-style skittle alley.

The New Forest is a great location for riding, walking and fishing. The yachting centre at Lymington and the villages of Bucklers Hard and Burley are just a short distance away, as is Beaulieu.
